Compassionate Care Grounded in Science

Mahr Therapeutic Services is a BCBA-owned ABA practice serving children, individuals, and families across Northern Virginia. We believe every person deserves therapy that is evidence-based, individualized, and delivered with dignity — and we build every program around that belief.

Our Mission & Values

Evidence-Based Practice

All treatment is rooted in the science of ABA

Compassion

Every child and family is treated with dignity, empathy, and respect

Individualization

No two plans are the same; every program reflects the child's unique needs

Family Partnership

Caregivers are active participants, not bystanders

Our Approach

Therapy That Respects the Whole Child

At MTS, we practice assent-based ABA — a model that prioritizes your child's comfort, engagement, and voice throughout the therapeutic process. Sessions are play-based and naturalistic, taking place in the home and community settings where children are most at ease and where skills transfer most naturally into daily life. Nidda provides in-person supervision for every client, so you can trust that the oversight behind your child's program is consistent and clinically sound. And because we believe caregivers are essential to lasting progress, parent coaching is woven into the work from the very beginning.

"We don't just work with children. We partner with the families raising them."

Serving Families Across Northern Virginia

We work with children and individuals across a wide range of needs — with a special focus on ages 3–14 and skills such as communication, social development, self-regulation, and daily living.
